This recipe is quick and easy to make and is made with all whole ingredients.  And it it apple season!  The sweet fruit replaces any sugar needed.  Great on a chilly morning after a run or on a Coffee Friday with friends!

Servings: 6
3 apples peeled, cored and diced
½ cup dried cherries (or raisins)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 cups quick-cooking rolled oats (not instant)

Put the apples and cherries/raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large saucepan and stir to combine.  Bring to a boil over high heat.  Add the oats and stir rapidly for 30 seconds.  Cover, decrease heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.  Serve hot.
